Showcase of Work

ATTIR

ATTIR is a sustainable fashion brand I created as part of my final major project in my last year at university. ATTIR is all about promoting and encouraging our audience to be more aware of the impacts fast fashion is creating on our environment. ATTIR products use bold statements, designs and colours inspired by the issue of fast fashion. ATTIR customers can also make full use of our blog platform to share their stories about how and why they are making changes to become more sustainable. ATTIR product range includes T shirts, Sweatshirts and tote bags.

Platform Xclusive

The Platform Xclusive pop up store was launched in participation with one of my university modules 'Store concepts'.The brief required us to as a team to build a concept idea for existing brand 'Platform'. I was part of the visual merchandising team so my job was to work with my team to design a store layout to match the brand ethos. The overall theme we decided on was all about neon colours, Vintage, street style, bright, bold and being adventurous. For the general theme of the store layout and design we decided to use lots of neon tube LED lights, metal grids, neon tape, spray paint and vinyls to create a minimalist, industrial feel to the store. Our stock mainly consisted of vintage clothing from supplier VWS based in Cardiff, we also then up cycled and customised some garments to fit in with the store.

Brand futures

For this project we were required to find a current issue is the fashion/retail world and apply it to a brand or new brand and find a solution. I chose the issue of terminal stock which is basically stock that doesn't get sold even when discounted and takes up storage room. I chose to look at Topshop's terminal stock problem and think of a better more environmentally friendly way to distribute this stock. My idea was to collaborate with Depop to find local sellers based in Cardiff and provide them with a physical space to sell their items and mix in Topshop terminal stock items. The Depop sellers were allowed freedom to up cycle and customise these items so that they fit in with the style of their collections better. To promote this new service there was a launch event with a DJ, competitions, prizes, games and launch night discounts to inform our target audience all about this service and the purpose, as well as this I also advertised on social media and with posters and QR codes that were distributed throughout Cardiff city centre. I also created a store layout using Google sketch up that best reflected the two brands and the ethos of this project. I wanted to follow a minimalist theme with pops of colour to attract attention, with space to sit down and chat and create a community spirit where customers can sit down and discuss the concept and get style advice from staff.

Touch free retail concept X H&M

For this project I designed a touch free retail concept for H&M in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. I designed an in store app to pair with augmented reality screens that would allow customers to try items on screen instead of having to physically touching them. The app then allowed customers to access accurate stock check for each store using a QR code, then allowing customers to purchase items through the app and collect them at zones located throughout store, this will help to eliminate any risk of passing any germs or infections.
